THE search goes on for tales and memories Lymm people might have of using the field next to the Farmers Arms pub.

Lymm Parish Council needs to hear from as many people as possible with memories of using the land if they are to successfully apply for it to become a village green and therefore be protected from development.

The site has been the subject of recent planning applications to build houses on the field at Rushgreen Road and were it to become officially known as a village green, it would receive protection forever.

For this to happen it needs to include evidence of people using the field without seeking permission.

So anyone with memories of using the field, albeit on a temporary basis such as to kick a football around or simply play games during the summer holidays is urged to get in touch.

Parish clerk Yvonne Cook would like to hear your stories on 753746.
