THE long-awaited third of Mark Olly's projected five histories of Celtic Warrington has become available just in time for Christmas.
The latest Celtic Warrington and Other Mysteries, featuring the south and west of the town, will not go on general sale until January 2003 but is exclusively available at the Warrington Book Loft on Lythgoes Lane.
Profusely illustrated and lovingly researched, Mark's book would make an ideal present for anyone interested in the early history of our region.
Here, it takes in Appleton, Walton, Stretton, Daresbury, Whitley, Moore, Preston Brook, Dutton, Norton, Halton, Runcorn, Weston, Clifton, Rocksavage, the Weaver Valley, Aston, Sutton, Frodsham, Helsby, Alvanley, Delamere and Kingsley.
Celtic Warrington and Other Mysteries, Book Three, by Mark Olly is published by Churnet Valley Books and costs £12.95.
