This is a tale about a young baby mouse called Jingles who lived with his mother and father in the arctic, where all the snow was falling. But Jingles had one BIG problem. He wanted to be BIG!

Jingles was one of the mice that always had good ideas, but on this day he had the most silliest idea he had ever had before. He wanted to be big!

He ran to tell his mum but she would not listen. "Oh bother" sighed Jingles, scurrying along to find his dad who was fixing his car up in human world. "Dad" "Not now son, can't you see I'm busy!" Said his father. "But" cried Jingles "no buts" replied his father. So Jingles went off and sat in his bedroom thinking what to do.

Soon he was on his way to find Santa who was busy in his workshop, which was hidden in the North Pole. Jingles knocked on the door and before Santa opened it he saw that on the mat beneath him it said welcome. Santa opened the door with the elves poking their noses through the letter box, "Hullo" Santa said with a laugh. "Hello Santa, I have come to solve a problem" "kids some days. What are they like" thought Santa. So Santa told Jingles to come inside and have tea and biscuits, while they talked it through.

So Jingles told Santa his problem, Santa told Jingles he had an idea, but it went away very quickly, Santa thought it back again and whispered it in each elves ear.

Jingles couldn't hear what he was saying. Soon the elves were busy on track. They made a red hat and a furry coat, jingles eyes glowed like fireballs.

"It's a swap for a red hat and a furry coat" said Santa. "For what?" asked Jingles. "For being big".

Santa took Jingles home in his sleigh. "Thanks Santa" cried Jingles. "Your welcome" said Santa's voice, fading away in the misty sky.

If you want to be big, have a BIG problem!!
