IT was Christmas Eve and Santa had just finished work. He put his reindeer to bed but one of the reindeer said he had a sore from the tree needles.

Then he went to bed himself. SUDDENLY he saw... a shape in his sack. It was a present. It was for Fizzy Busy. Fizzy Busy lived far away on the other side of the North Pole in an igloo. She only got one present a year because her mum and dad were very poor. Santa knew he had to get the present to Fizzy. So he set off walking.

It wasn't very long when he met a man with a pair of skates and he explained the problem. Take my skates said the man. They hadn't gone very far when one of the wheels broke off. I'm sorry said the man. I can't take you any further but if you go over the hill and down the road you will find a lady with a car. So he did and he found the lady with the car. He explained the problem and she said she would take him as far as she could and she did. But the car would not go in snow. The lady said she could not go any more... Oh but if you go down the road you will find the pilot of a helicopter. So he did. When he got there he explained the problem and he said he would take Father Christmas some of the way.

Soon it started to get misty and the pilot could not see but they were near the North Pole. They had a mountain to go over first. In the end it broke down so Father Christmas was sent somewhere else. He was sent to a mountain lift and it took him over the mountain but it fell off its wire. At least they were at the North Pole. He walked to the igloo and put the present in to the stocking and crept away. On the long journey home he travelled by bus...train...skateboard...bike. Back at the igloo Fizzy reached for the present. It was...a secret but Santa was just falling asleep.
