A KITTEN had to be rescued by Stockton Heath firefighters after getting its head stuck in a chair on Wednesday night. The incident happened just after 11.30pm at a house in Tarporley Road, Whitley. The 11-week old cat, called Cocoa, had caught its head in the spindles of a chair and firefighters had to employ a pedal cutter, normally used at road traffic accidents, to cut the spindle and release the animal. Cocoa was not injured.
