IT'S almost that time of year again when Northwich Rowing Club members work off the turkey and Christmas pudding.
The traditional Boxing Day Eights event gives those who no longer compete the chance to taste victory again, and provides an opportunity to row with Matt Langridge.
The 2001 world junior champion has spent most of the year training and competing with the senior Great Britain squad and is hoping to return to his home club for Christmas.
Crews of eight people are randomly selected for the 300m sprint race. The action starts at 11 am on Boxing Day, the bar will be open and spectators are welcome.
Meanwhile Northwich members got into the festive spirit on Saturday with a children's Christmas party to raise funds for the club.
