THE changes to the refuse collection service over the Christmas and New Year Bank Holidays have been announced.
Collections on Monday, December 23 and 30 are as normal as is Tuesday, December 24.
There will be no collections on Wednesday, December 25 and January 1, Thursday, December 26 or Friday, December 27, but there will be double collections on Thursday, January 2 and Friday, January 3, as well as a revised, double collection on Tuesday, December 31.
In addition, there will be no collections of brown wheely bins used for composting on Wednesday, December 25, Thursday, December 26, Friday, December 27 or Wednesday, January 1.
Christmas trees cannot be collected from brown bins, but will instead have to be taken to a recycling centre for shredding.
Trees can be left at Whitefield Car Park, Delamere Forest, on January 11 and 12, Castle Park, Frodsham, before Monday, January 13, Wyevale Garden Centre, Forest Road, Cotebrook, before Tuesday, January 14, or Weaver Vale Garden Centre, Winnington Lane, Winnington, before Wednesday, January 15.
Christmas cards and wrapping paper can be taken to the council offices at Wyvern House, The Drumber, Winsford, Castle Park council offices, Frodsham and the Information Centre in Northwich before January 31.
Household waste sites are open seven days a week between 8am and 4pm and are closed Christmas Day only.
