SOME of Sir John Deane's College's most outstanding students were honoured at the annual presentation night, held on Monday.

Around 400 students, governors, teachers and parents attended the evening at the Monarch Drive college, as each recipient collected their awards and certificates.

Delighted

College principal Andrew Jones said: "We are delighted to celebrate the wide-ranging contribution our past students have made.

"In congratulating former students, we should also pay tribute to the staff of the college, without whose magnificent efforts, little of what we are celebrating would have been possible.

"The governors too should be thanked for the support they have given so freely to the college and its many activities."

He added: "Student success here is part of a process that begins at home and continues in the primary and secondary schools."
