BIG-HEARTED volunteers who give up their time to help patients, visitors and staff at Halton Hospital were treated to a huge party.
Health chiefs dressed up in Victorian costume to serve them a feast of festive food as a big thank you for all their efforts.
Chief executive, Paul Cronin, and chairman, Norman Banner, donned colourful costumes to take everyone back in time.
In full regalia, they turned the tables to make the volunteers the VIP guests.
Mr Cronin said: "It is always a fantastic night, providing an opportunity for the trust to show how much they are grateful for all the work the volunteers do over the year.
"It is also great fun for everyone involved."
The League of Friends has raised more than £5,000 during the past nine months and is aiming to reach a target of £10,000 to provide resuscitation units.
The tea bar volunteers have collected more than £25,000 and are currently allocating funds throughout the hospital.
