AN exceptional bowling performance by Weaverham's Rob McMillan saw Prestbury lose by five wickets at the weekend.
Weaverham kept the pressure on league leaders Middlewich with a maximum 25 points win over Prestbury - thanks to the outstanding work of McMillan who took 7-52 off 16 overs.
He was supported by skipper Jon Lightfoot, who took 2-30 off 13 overs.
In the batting department, Jamie Allen (93no) was the match winner as he continued to enjoy his best season to date - having scored more than 500 runs in the league at an average of 51.
Barry Crellin (25), Rob McMillan (25) and Guy Groves (23) helped secure the points after Weaverham had been tottering on 27-3.
Weaverham notched up 184-5 and the outstanding work of the bowlers resulted in Prestbury being all out at 179.
