BUSINESSES across Cheshire are being asked to help bring Roman history to life by pledging their support.
They are being encouraged to sponsor an event guide which is being produced to commemorate the second Roman Middlewich Festival.
Dave Thompson, assistant manager of the festival, said: "This is your chance to be part of history.
"You may want to organise a Roman theme night with authentic gladiator costumes or even authentic food and wine.
"There will be thousands of visitors coming to the town for the event and so it's a great opportunity for business people to get extra customers through the door."
Organisers want to encourage pubs, restaurants, hotels, shops, schools and businesses to get involved so they can publicise their events in the programme.
Mr Thompson added: "Even if businesses don't want to organise a Roman-themed event, they are still welcome to promote themselves in our programme."
