WORLD champion bodybuilder Paul Sutton is the latest sporting celebrity to announce that he will be making an appearance at this year's Northwich Festival.

The festival, which was formally the Festival of Sport, promises to be an action-packed four-day entertainment extravaganza offering something for everyone.

The event takes place at Moss Farm over the August Bank Holiday weekend between Friday, August 22 and Monday August 25.

Paul is scheduled to entertain the crowds on Monday as he flexes his world-beating muscles in a special demonstration.

Visitors to the festival's Monday event can also enjoy a whole host of other sporting and non sporting events including the annual Cheshire strongman competition, a fitness challenge, a craft fair, circus skills workshops, a bouncy castle and a tug 'o' war contest.

Tickets are still available for the sportsman's evening featuring guest speaker the former Welsh international rugby player Phil Bennett.

This event will include a five-course meal and drinks package and will take place in a marquee at Moss Farm on the Friday evening.

The marquee will also be the venue for the Irish night planned for the Saturday night which will include music performed live by the Bogtrotters. Tickets for this event are £4 and are available in advance or on the night.

The festival will also include a farmers' produce market on Sunday morning and a battle of the bands competition in the afternoon.

Northwich Festival is being organised jointly by Northwich Rugby Club, Vale Royal Borough Council, Cheshire County Council and DAN.
