LEISURE Club provided the shock of the round in the Carlsberg Tetley Crewe Open League Summer Team KO quarterfinals with a 10-5 victory over Premier side Raven.

Fourth Division Leisure Club's giant-killing act against Premier opponents Raven was started by Tony Probin hitting a 180 and Dave Coyne an 18 darter to give Leisure a 3-0 darts lead.

Raven responded by winning the opening dominoes games and the next two darts games with Warren Hollands hitting a 17 dart game, but with the score at 6-5 Leisure won the last four dominoes games to secure a 10-5 aggregate victory.

LMR B of the Division Three were also victorious over a team from a higher division gaining a 9-6 aggregate victory over Division One's Amalgamated A.

Mals built a 4-3 darts advantage bur LMR held the advantage at dominoes to leave LMR with a 6-5 lead.

The Mals Tony Davison then tied the scores at 6 all, but then LMR again took control, winning the last single dominoes game and the two pairs games to seal a 9-6 win.

In the all Premiership clash between Polish A and Vine A, the Vine with the help of top marksman John Speed out in 17 darts and Neil Tudor with a 180 maximum took a 5-3 aggregate lead.

Polish fought back winning the next two darts and three dominoes games to give them a 8-5 aggregate success and are the only premier side left in the competition.

The tie at the Hawk saw Division One rivals Delamere stroll to an easy 9-3 win with Mark Tirrell being top marksman with a 180.

The draw for the semi-finals to be played on September 8 is as follows: Delamere v LMR B: Leisure Club v Polish A.
