YOUR story on Brannigan Graham (Star July 31) rings a bell it got the police on the job. But it's is a farce really. Think about it, those extra policemen... were they new police or did they come from someone else's neck of the woods?
How come Westminster has more police and better services than we will ever have for a lot less rates than we pay?
We've had these problems in Haydock like many other districts and due to suggestions at a Forum meeting we got a panda car to drive up and down every estate twice a day.
It worked wonders and gave a feeling of security, but I've got to say it didn't last Mrs Graham, but it does prove a point.
The council are simply wasting the money that should be putting policemen and women on the beat.
