GRANGE A proved to be too strong for Grappenhall Ex-Servicemen's Club in Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association's Silcock Cup final on Saturday.
Brian Lewis' side had seven winners in their 224-189 success on a tricky Woolston Royal British Legion green that was soaked in sunshine.
The fast running surface got the better of many players as bowls continually went off the green.
Grange A's John Gatley mastered the conditions better than anyone and deserved his man of the match award after defeating John Geraghty 21-12.
Five winners from the first six blocks paved the way for Grange's glory on a blistering hot day.
Grange's best winner was Mal Cook, 21-8 against Alan Eddie, while Grappenhall's top performer was Keith Ashcroft, who won 21-14 against H. Roberts.
