VICTORIA Park aim to provide double trouble for their cup final opponents on Sunday.

Victoria One meet Newtown at Hood Lane in Warrington Public Parks' Bowls League's Guardian Challenge Cup final, starting at 2pm.

While that showdown takes shape on the No.2 green, the No.3 green will be occupied by Victoria Two and Bank Two B in the Guardian Supplementary Cup final, which will also start at 2pm.

Victoria will have their work cut out in each match though as they will have to overcome an 18-chalk handicap deficit in each game.

There will be new names on the trophies as Lovely Lane have held the Challenge Cup crown for the past two years while King and Queen triumphed in the Supplementary Cup in 2002.

For Victoria Two, they will be looking to make amends for their defeat in the final last year.

And they have a number of players in their ranks who will be keen to succeed after losing out with Grappenhall Ex-Servicemen's in Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association's Silcock Cup final at the weekend, including All-England Championships contender Brian Welsby and the Ashcrofts.

Some good match-ups are shaping up on the greens. Check out on Glance Guide the games that are set to take place.
