A MASKED robber threatened a teenager with a knife before escaping with a quantity of cash from a garage in Penketh.
The offender went behind the counter of West End Motors, on Farnworth Road, on Sunday afternoon, after demanding money from a 17-year-old member of staff.
The man, wearing a balaclava with cut eyeholes, entered the petrol service station at 2.30pm.
He placed the cash into a plastic bag before running off.
The teenager was left uninjured, but shaken.
The offender was a white man, 6ft, of medium build, who spoke with a mild Liverpool accent. He was wearing dark blue trousers or tracksuit bottoms.
