A FAIRFIELD woman remains in a critical condition at the Royal Liverpool Hospital after a collision on Battersby Lane last week.
The 38-year-old received serious head injuries in the crash and is suffering bleeding in her brain that means she has to stay on a ventilator machine.
Hospital staff say the woman is in a critical but stable condition.
A red Alfa Romeo hit the woman when she was crossing the road at 12.15am, on August 6.
The driver, a 24-year-old man from Appleton Thorn, has been charged with failing to provide a breath sample. His hearing was adjourned, on Friday, at Warrington Magistrates' Court, until August 22.
