WARRINGTON Youth Club has received a grant of more than £38,000 from BBC Children in Need.
The club will receive the money in instalments over the next three years with the majority of the money used to fund a project called Planet Blue.
Planet Blue is an event aimed mainly at disabled youngsters that currently takes place once a month.
The money received from Children in Need will allow the event to take place twice a month, giving youngsters with disabilities the chance to participate in new activities. The youth group will also be able to provide residential trips for the youngsters, using the money to subsidise the costs.
Some of the money will also be used to pay for youth leaders and cover the running costs of the peace centre in Westbrook, where the club is based.
