TWO brutes who used crowbars when they raided two off-licences on the same day have been handed lengthy jail terms.
Alun Rowe and Alan Mark Killen, both from Liverpool, robbed two Parr stores on April 14.
In the raids - at Shaun's Off-Licence, Chancery Lane and then the Co-op Late Shop, Ashtons Green Drive - they threatened staff with crowbars. The owner of Shaun's was struck by the metal bar.
Rowe, 33, from Kingsheath Avenue, Liverpool 14, and Killen, 39, from Portelet Road, Liverpool 13, were both arrested on the evening of the offences.
They were found guilty at Liverpool Crown Court. Rowe was sentenced to eight years in prison and Killen for 10 years.
