YOUNG witches and wizards converged on Penketh South Primary School for a Harry Potter-themed day.
Pupils at the school in Finlay Avenue dressed up as their favourite magical characters for a scholastic book fair, which gave them the chance to buy the works of authors including JK Rowling.
Geoff Ashton, headteacher at the school, said: "We had a really good day and the children loved it."
