YET another international firm has become a tenant at the Birchwood One business park.

Metso Paper Limited, which has branches in more than 20 countries making them the world's largest paper making line supplier, has taken up a 15-year lease on a 252 square metre unit. The firm moved into its new premises on August 4. The company currently has 14 workers who are working in the new offices

The offices at Birchwood One will act as the UK sales headquarters for the company, as well as the northern office for sister company Metso Automation.

Both groups are part of Finland based Metso Corporation which is a global supplier of process industry machinery and systems.

Metso Paper is a nationwide organisation that has existing offices in Kent and Runcorn. Its decision to bring these two offices into one location at Birchwood One is yet another endorsement for the area, which has an excellent reputation for attracting international businesses.

Graham Sutton, managing director said: "Our business is truly nationwide, ranging from northern Scotland to south east England, and Warrington was identified as the perfect central location.

The Birchwood One location gives us outstanding access to the motorway network, the main line rail network, and has Manchester Airport located conveniently nearby."

Birchwood One is situated within one of the north west's most prestigious and successful business locations. The development is located just off the A574 Birchwood Way that runs between the M6 and M62. The complex is made up of six, two storey units, four of which are currently being occupied.

There are plans to continue developing the site with work due to start on four more units in September.
