UNEMPLOYMENT in Warrington fell again during the past month with council bosses working to reduce it even further.
The number of people claiming benefit in the town stood at two per cent at the last count, down from 2.1 per cent at the same stage last year, according to the borough's labour market review.
Clr Terry O'Neill, executive member for regeneration, said: "We're making tremendous strides locally to boost opportunities for unemployed people and it is excellent to see that our labour market is buoyant when many other areas across the UK are struggling with unemployment and lack of opportunities.
"We are proud of our achievements and will continue to work with our partners and the local community to ensure our upward trend, growth and development continues."
