KENNY
Mr Denis Kenny, husband of the late Mrs Elsie Kenny, died of acute myocardial ischaemia on July 10. He was 88.
Mr Kenny, of Clifford Road, Penketh, lived in Warrington all his life.
He began his working life as a wire worker at British Ropes, later became a caretaker at St Vincent's Primary School, Penketh, and was last employed as a postman at Lockers for 10 years.
Mr Kenny enjoyed socialising in Penketh and Sankey Sports and Social Club, dominoes, crown bowls, watching rugby league, horse racing, boxing and cricket.
He leaves two daughters, two sisters, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A service was held on July 21, at the Sacred Heart RC Church, followed by interment at Fox Covert. The Rev Father Bibby officiated.
