Ms Marlene Woods, (nee Beckett), daughter of Mrs M Beckett, died on June 24, aged 56.
Ms Woods of Beaufort Close, Gt Sankey, lived in the Great Sankey area for 27 years.
She was employed as a switchboard operator at Hydro Electronics, a shop assistant and a housewife.
In her younger days she was an athlete and represented Lancashire, gaining many trophies.
Ms Woods leaves a daughter, two grandchildren, her mother, two sisters and a brother.
A service was held on July 2, at St Elphin's Parish Church, followed by interment at Fox Covert. Jackie Recchia CA officiated.
Arrangements were made by Cheshire Funeral Services.
