A RHYTHM and Blues Festival from Friday 22 to Monday 25 August, at Colne in Lancashire, promises to be another weekend extravaganza of wall-to-wall R&B

Friday sees Danny Bryant Red Eye Band, Sean Costello, The Hamsters and The Anthony Gomes Band take to the stage.

Sean Costello is the epitome of the sharp dressed electric blues master, cool, calculated and driving in the classic east coast style.

With the Hamsters providing the driving backbone of the evening it will be a guitar fans delight.

Headlining on Saturday is Sven Zetterberg. This is only Sven's second time in the UK during a 30-year career dominating the European scene. He is the all round blues man, amongst Europe's top harp and guitarists as well as possessing one of the best blues voices this side of the Atlantic.

Javier Vargas brings the breathtaking Vargas Blues Band from Madrid. Their influences are diverse - rock, soul, flamenco, Latin and of course blues.

Sunday's programme moves from electric blues through, country, jump jive and fun to hard driving classic blues of the highest order in the form of Lazy Lester with Blues and Trouble.

Headlining on Monday is Savoy Brown. In true festival tradition King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys end the weekend in style as only they can.

Tickets are on sale now, prices are £15 on Friday, £22 for Saturday, £25 on Sunday and £25 on Monday with the full festival ticket priced at £70 for the four day spectacular.
