WEAVER Vale MP Mike Hall has pledged his support to a pioneering charity based in Kingsley that aims to help people with disabilities.
The Will to Work Workshop, at the Lady Heyes Craft Centre, wants to provide experience in crafts like woodwork, pottery, painting, basic welding, and typing and computer skills.
The charity bought their unit at the craft centre in January 2000, and volunteers have worked hard since then to complete a major refurbishment
And Mr Hall was at the centre on Friday to show his support for the workshop, which hopes to provide a friendly atmosphere for all who attend.
The Will to Work Workshop's objective is to relive unemployment in persons from all walks of life, who because of serious illness, require further rehabilitation to develop skills and confidence so that a normal lifestyle can be resumed as soon as possible.
But to achieve these aims, the charity needs volunteers and sponsorship, and organisers want to hear from anybody who can help out.
Volunteer Peter Bell said: "We have plenty of users and this really is a unique set-up in the area, but like most charities there is a lack of funding and we could always use more volunteers.
"There is nowhere else in the area where people can come and learn ceramics and the workshop is trying to support all of Vale Royal."
Anybody who would like to use the centre or who can help volunteer time or money can contact Peter on 01606 44586.
