WITH passion and pride, they travel back in time - every time they open the throttle.
Back to the days when Lambrettas and Vespas captured the fun and freedom of the 70s.
Scooters are making such a comeback, a new club has been launched.
Widnes Dinotones - named after a famous Northern Soul record - is back on the road.
They're hoping to get T-shirts and badges printed.
"It's good fun," said founder member, Tommy Dennett.
"We're re-living our youth. When you're on them, it turns heads, it's something from the past, everyone looks.
"It's not just a lads' thing, our families are involved."
Scooter enthusiasts meet every Thursday evening at the Eight Towers pub to swap practical tips, have a chat and plan trips. Enthusiasts often come from Warrington, St Helens and even Stoke-on-Trent.
"We go on scooter rallies every other weekend," said Tommy.
"We're riding to the Isle of Wight for a big rally over the Bank Holiday.
"My Lambretta is 31 years old. It's bright orange and a classic bike so it's tax exempt. I'm getting another one built. Our weekends are taken up maintaining our scooters, it's a great hobby."
