TALKS are taking place to decide when the statue of Warrington rugby league legend Brian Bevan can be moved to its new home, outside the Wolves' new stadium off Winwick Road.
The statue of the legendary Wire winger is currently at Brian Bevan Island, near the club's Wilderspool home.
But following overwhelming support in a Guardian poll for relocating the statue, Clr Paul Kenny, Warrington Borough Council's finance boss, and club officials are set to discuss a suitable plan for the move.
Clr Kenny says that moving the statue of the world record try scorer will cost between £10,000 and £11,000, a figure that the council will meet, and that as soon as a date is fixed for the move, the Guardian will be the first to know.
