OFFICIALS at Culcheth Sports and Social are hoping that the recent heat wave holds out until a bank holiday fiesta of fun takes place.
Next Monday, from noon, the Charnock Road club throws open its door for everything from Birchwood Brass Band to dancing, rugby and a one man and his duck show.
As well as a host of sports activities, miniature steam train rides and fairground stalls will be on offer. Entry is 50p for adults and 25p for children.
