A VILLAGE artist is set to unveil an exhibition of his work that will be on show for three weeks at a Warrington garden centre.
Bryan Edmonson, aged 57, has been painting landscapes since his teens and has displayed his work at galleries from the Turnpike in Leigh to the Mall Galleries in London.
The exhibition will open at Bents, in Glazebury, on September 6 and run until September 28, with the artist himself in store drawing, painting and speaking to the visitors on September 9, 11, 16 and 18 between 1pm and 4pm.
Bryan enjoys exhibiting in conventional galleries but is also keen to display his work in places not normally thought of as art galleries.
He says the garden centre is ideal because his landscapes fit in with a garden theme.
Leigh-born Bryan, who now lives in Glazebury, spends a lot of time in the Lake District.
He has gained a lot of inspiration from both areas with landscapes and paintings of stone cottages, mountains and rivers featuring quite strongly throughout the exhibition, entitled Art at Bents.
The artist is also raffling off one of his original paintings for charity, as part of a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan cancer.
