KING and Queen A wrapped up the Section A title in Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association's Red Line Recruitment Monday League with a 12-2 demolition job on Farmers Arms A.

Their top winners were Dave Penketh, 21-2 and John Taylor, 21-7. Ray Bate replied with a 21-13 card.

Second-placed St. Oswalds A trounced GESM A 12-3. Ken Armitage, 21-7 and Carl Armitage, 21-8, were their best performers. B Charnley took the home sweep 21-8.

Wins from Pat Crowe, 21-7 and John Brown, 21-12, helped Grapes Inn to an 8-7 success at Alford Hall A. Ged Smith replied with a 21-7 card.

Tetley A's 12-2 victory over Brooklands A included wins from Mark Tinning, 21-4, Paul Sauce, 21-7 and Tony Smith, 21-8. A. Price took the visitors' sweep 21-9.

Section B table toppers Grange B beat Monks Hall 12-2. They were indebted to the fine form of Paul Dean, 21-6, Peter Begley and Ken Tipping, 21-8.

Second-placed Monk Sports A closed the gap on the leaders with a 14-0 whitewash of Red Lion A. Their top guns were Keith Bradbury and P. Peters, 21-8 and Dennis Aldred, 21-9.

Wins from B. Maloney, 21-8 and P. Kelly, 21-13, inspired Richmonds to an 11-3 success at the expense of Bank Quay A. G. Lythgoe was the most impressive visitor, winning 21-7.

Eagle A triumphed 9-6 at Bulls Head A with J. Lasko and W. McKechnie both winning 21-11. Neill Hoult took the home sweep 21-12.

Cadishead Cons lead the way in Section C despite suffering a 9-5 defeat at the hands of Farmers B. M. Knight, 21-3 and P. Yates 21-4, were the stars of the show. Keith Lee replied with a 21-4 card.

Rylands B are in second spot following their 11-3 victory over Saracens Head. Terry Waiting's 21-9 card was backed up by 21-10 wins from Mike Parker and Eric Morris.

St. Oswald B's 9-5 win against Post Office included Frank Corcoran's 21-6 card.

British Rail defeated Woolston B 10-4. Their best winners were Ron Timmis, 21-6 and S. Leigh, 21-9.

The top three teams in Section D all recorded impressive away wins.

Leaders King and Queen won 10-5 at Crosfields with Eddie Best and Paul Deakin sharing the sweep with 21-4 cards.

Second-placed Burtonwood A defeated Fiddlers Ferry 12-3 with E. Powall, 21-6 and John Tabern, 21-9, excelling.

Wins from Keith Hamblett, 21-10 and Peter Jackson, 21-8, helped third-placed Stag A to a 9-6 success at Culcheth Sports A, who boasted a 21-4 card from T. Brookes.

GESM B won 10-5 at Hollins Park A. B. Hassell, 21-1, was their shining light while H. Pickering replied with a 21-7 card.
