WOOLSTON Rovers' Jon Cole has been named in BARLA Great Britain Lions' squad for the one off Test match against France at Whitehaven on September 20.
The squad, with the exception of one, have retained their places from the historic Victory Cup in Moscow in May, and Cole will be helping to gain revenge after narrowly losing to France in that tournament.
Team manager Neil Baxter, who lives in Warrington and is secretary of Bank Qual Bulls RL team, is looking forward to the game and is confident that the Lions will give a good account of themselves.
He said: "We know that the French will provide a stern test after facing them in Moscow. We ran them close there and are confident that home advantage will give us the edge this time round."
