PENKETH and Sankey Gardening Society is holding a mini show and hot pot supper at Meeting Lane Community Centre on Thursday, September 4.
The event, which starts at 7.30pm, marks the climax of the Grand Fuchsia Challenge, which has seen members of the group spending their summer growing plants donated by Rivendell Garden Centre.
The plants will be judged by representatives from Rivendell Garden Centre, and a society perpetual trophy and certificate is up for grabs. Runners up will also receive prizes.
Entry to the event is by ticket only, priced £4, and the hot pot supper is included in this. Call Evelyn Humphries on 722844 to book tickets. Visitors are all welcome.
