Mr Frederick (Fred) Guy, husband of Mrs Margaret (Madge) Guy, died of heart failure on July 4. He was 76.
Mr Guy, of Corbet Avenue, lived in Warrington all his life.
He was employed by Manweb for a number of years, before transferring to the Cleansing Department of Warrington Borough Council, completing 40 years' service with the council.
Mr Guy enjoyed watching sport on TV, especially rugby league and horse racing, and the company of his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He leaves his wife, a son, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A service was held on July 14, at Walton Lea, followed by cremation. His ashes were later interred at Warrington Cemetery. The Rev A Litton officiated
