A CARING youngster from Croft has raised pots of cash for St Rocco's Hospice by running laps of the village playing field.
Adam Barry, aged nine, of Arkenshaw Road, decided to raise money for the charity after his grandma got cancer.
His mum and dad, Tracey and Tony, said that he just wanted to find a way to help and he came up with the idea of raising cash for the hospice.
Tony said: "He has done really well and we are very proud of him."
A spokesman for St Rocco's said that the hospice was very grateful for the contribution and that the £205 which Adam raised would be used to buy five special wheelchair cushions.
Adam ran 10 laps of Croft playing field and had a drink of water on each lap as he ran.
