EARLESTOWN Cons Club were in scintillating form in Division A of the Newton Summer Dominoes League this week.

They hammered Blue Bell 4-1. Their winners were Joe and John Smith, Ned Wilcock and Bill Edwards, S. A. Jones and Ron Ambrose plus Al Furay and Doug Smith.

Joint leaders Newton Social Club and Swan also recorded impressive victories this week. Their respective victims were Vulcan and Viaduct.

Newton were indebted to Phil Ashbrook and Al Gardiner, George Brown Jnr and James Lodge plus Bob Corrigan and Derek Simm while Sean Grehan and Wally Crook clinched the points for Swan.

St. Davids held on to top spot in Division B despite losing 3-2 to Millstone.

Second-placed Millstone had star players in George Dooner and Tony Close, Ian Whamond and Mike Holland plus Ken Hewitt and Ste Worthington.

Railway lead the way in Division C after a 3-2 win against Newmarket. Their men on form were Dave Edwards and Paul Patterson, Mark Wheatley Jnr and M. Webster plus Keith Mellors and Mark Wheatley Snr.

Second-placed Victoria also won 3-2 this week. Griffin provided the opposition and they were undone by the fine form of Rick Rafferty and Al Griffiths, Tom Duxbury and Ste Van Den Hoek plus Ste Hodkinson and Dave Hay.
