A RUNCORN woman has won a vast regional flower show with her bridal bouquet.
Dorothy Horabin took first place with her creation 'Wedding Waltz' at the Shrewsbury festival, northern England's biggest floral art show.
"I couldn't believe I had won it," said Dorothy, of Highlands Road.
"I went in the marquee and looked and it had a big red ribbon across it saying 'first'. I just cried, I literally cried!"
The show was held last weekend and it rivals Chelsea and Southport flower for prestige - it costs up to £17 just to get in.
Dorothy was up against top professionals and only started exhibiting again last year after a lay-off due to illness.
"I have always loved flowers but I haven't been to Shrewsbury for 10 years, but I must still have it in me," she said.
This year's displays won the interest of news crews and photographers.
Her 7ft pedestal display, 'Mardi Gras', was commended by the judges as were three other smaller works, meaning everything Dorothy entered won an honour.
"I'm so pleased, I didn't really fall down on anything," said Dorothy.
"I feel winning it brings something nice for Runcorn too!"
