STEVE McKay from Runcorn has a driving ambition to raise a fortune for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The Morrisons delivery driver will have a rather unusual load on September 6 and 7 when he will be teaching people from Halton how to drive a HGV.
Steve's truck will be just one of the vehicles up for grabs at Marie Curie Cancer Care's driving challenge which takes place at Appleton Thorn, Warrington.
The idea is to give members of the public a memorable day out driving trucks, tractors, fire engines, police cars, buses and a whole host of unusual vehicles.
All participants will be given a score as they make their way around the course, so the event is a competition as well as a challenge.
Steve said: "This is a great opportunity to have a fun day out and to raise cash for a very worthy cause.
"Last year's event raised a staggering £30,000 and this year I want the people from my home town to help us beat it."
