THE funeral was held recently of Don Goodier, who died on August 19, aged 83.
Don had followed his sons to South Africa in 1985.
He was originally a carpenter by trade, working for ICI Mond Division.
He retired from ICI with over 40 years service.
He was one of Barnton Cricket Club's original trustees and was awarded honorary life membership in 1977. He had joined the club in 1951 and served as chairman and secretary for many years.
He leaves wife Enid and two sons David, Chris and their families.
