BIZET'S musical masterpiece Carmen, one of the most passionate and dramatic love stories ever written, has taken to the stage at The Octagon Theatre in Bolton.

This up-to-the-minute production tells the story as if it were written yesterday and Carmen is now a supermarket checkout girl having a casual fling with security guard Johnny.

When Carmen gets into trouble with the law, the love-struck Johnny goes to prison to cover for her and while he is doing time, Carmen scores with superstar footballer Tony Amor.

Feeling jilted, Johnny sees red and tragedy strikes.

NODDY and friends are calling at The Palace Theatre in Manchester this weekend to celebrate Tessie Bear's birthday.

This all-new show has already entertained youngsters in Stoke on Trent and Liverpool and is guaranteed to keep children aged, between two and six, happy.

THINK Floyd, now in their eighth year of touring, will be paying tribute to Pink Floyd at the Liverpool Empire tomorrow night, Friday, with all the music from the classic album The Wall.
