VICS suffered from a bout of Bank Holiday Blues on Monday and fell to their second 1-0 defeat in three days.

And it was more than just the scoreline which resembled Saturday's match at Stevenage.

Vics were lacklustre in attack and after going a goal down seemed to lack the spark which could have allowed them to force their way back into the game.

Of more concern to Steve Davis will be the lack of commitment shown by the midfield who were out-battled and out-played for long periods of the match.

Vics did start brightly however with Jonny Allan and Mark Devlin going close but they couldn't find the net and Leigh capitalised with the winning strike after 38 minutes from Maden.

Steve Davis' men tried to fight back after the break but were simply outclassed by a Leigh RMI side which showed more desire and determination.

Deep into stoppage time Vics did get a chance to save a point but Dean Butterworth's shot was saved.
