LITTLE Tammy, a black and white three-year-old moggy, needs a good home with a quiet, middle-aged lady owner.

She has been homeless since her previous lady owner died suddenly eight weeks ago. Three other felines who belonged to the same owner have been successfully rehomed, leaving only Tammy homeless.

Hazel Helsby, who helps rehome animals from her home in Newton, said: "Tammy is a very timid little thing, she hides from people and doesn't come across very well. She doesn't like men and would be ideally suited to a middle-aged, female owner, looking for a quiet life just like her.

"She would make a great companion if she's given enough time to settle in and come out of her shell."
