WINSFORD lost a close match against Burnage on Saturday after failing to post a challenging target.

Batting first Winsford made just 141 with only Colin Dean really making any headway scoring 57 off just 60 balls.

Burnage though did not find the run chase easy and their task was made more difficult by some excellent Winsford bowling.

Mark Dean bowled particularly well as Burnage were reduced to 145-8 with the winning runs coming off the final ball of the innings.
