GOLBORNE Cricket Club gave Lostock a mauling at the weekend.

Their all round game was superb but their bowling was particularly impressive. Golborne dismissed the home side for only 65 runs with Tony Greenwood doing the majority of the damage.

He took eight wickets for only 24 runs after Golborne had posted a challenging target of 216 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

Golborne's best batsmen were skipper Graham Marston, 71 runs, Roach, 41, Robinson, 28 and Tyrer, 21. Marston's innings included 10 fours and a six.
