UP and coming Warrington band, Monterey Jack, is preparing to take the town by storm when it plays the WA1 club on Saturday.

The band, formed in 2002, is playing the gig on the back of recent success at popular Manchester music venue, Satan's Hollow.

They have now built up a large fan base in Warrington and Manchester whom they hope will support them as they go on to bigger and better things.

Monterey Jack is a funk/rock band consisting of Joseph Whitlow on vocals and guitar; Chris Morris on guitar; Michael Hall on bass and Joey Lawrence on drums.

Playing gigs in and around Warrington over the last year and playing Manchester gigs in July, proved that hard work

really pays off when they were approached by a promoter from Satan's Hollow.

The band played the club on the August 10 and from the strength of this big things are afoot.

Not only is Satan's Hollow confirming several more gigs with

Monterey Jack but also alliances have been made with several other bands and venues.

More bookings are to follow in Manchester and Liverpool as well as continued gigs in Warrington starting with WA1 at Leigh Street on Saturday with Bob Rock.
