COULD I be so bold as to reply to the letter by 'A law respecting Great Sankey resident' in last week's Points of View, which was headlined 'Time to sort out problem of travellers'?

Very commendable, sir/madam, on your valuable points, raised in your letter.

However, let's be honest - I personally don't think your points will ever be taken seriously, as the number one priority to the powers that be is to collect all those £60 fines generated quicker and easier by sitting on the side of a road catching the real criminals. That is, the motorist.

Technically, the motorist could be confused with the traveller, but thank goodness top cop Chief Constable Peter Fahy knows the difference and also knows which one generates the bigger revenue for the least amount of investment of time and money.
