I WOULD like to thank all the kind people of St Helens and Newton-le-Willows for their kind donations of goodies for the parcels that we sent to the armed forces during the recent war.
A special thank-you to St Nicholas Church Sutton for allowing us the use of their meeting room to hold our weekly support group; members of the congregation for their help to pack and post the parcels; Sue Williams at Shaun Woodward's office; and also Shaun himself for attending one of our meetings.
Generous
An extra special thank-you goes to Laechfield EPH for the generous donations which I know were gratefully received by our troops.
A personal thank-you goes to the staff of Clock Face post office without whose help we would have been at a loss.
In total we were able to send more than 100 boxes and to show our troops that our thoughts were with them.
So again a very big thanks from all at the Sutton Gulf Support Group.
