BLUEPRINTS for a new restaurant have impressed a government inspector after they were rejected by Warrington Borough Council planning officers.

Developers had asked for permission to open an eaterie at 9, Padgate Lane in February, but were turned down by officials, using delegated powers, because of the potential impact on neighbours.

But an inspector has ruled that there is considerable activity along that stretch of Padgate Lane and perceived odour problems could be addressed by strict conditions.

However, permission was not given for the property to be used as a takeaway because of the likelihood of extra parking and noise pollution.
