NEW information booklets for patients who have had hip and knee replacement surgery have been launched at the BUPA Hospital in Stretton.
The booklets cover the operation, preparations that can be made before going to hospital and practical advice about how to get back into the swing of things after surgery.
Dr Annabel Bentley, assistant medical director for BUPA, said: "Well-informed patients suffer less stress and anxiety, have less pain and lower blood pressure after surgery."
